Meet Our President
John Phillips is the founder and President of ARAC Roof It Forward, where he leverages over two decades of executive construction leadership and specialized technical expertise to drive industry-leading standards in residential and commercial roofing. A graduate of the Coles College of Business, John founded ARAC to reform industry perceptions through operational transparency, rigorous quality benchmarks, and data-driven execution.
Under John's leadership, ARAC Roof It Forward has been an industry leader since 2005, achieving elite status as an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor and maintaining a decade-long streak of major national accolades. His commitment to craftsmanship is backed by a consistent timeline of excellence, stretching from the prestigious Owens Corning National Spirit Award to consecutive Excellence Awards for Product and Service spanning 2024, 2025, and 2026, as well as the Top Performer MVP designation.
As an authoritative voice in advanced roofing systems, John holds the industry's highest technical designations. He is a HAAG Certified Inspector, the gold standard in precise forensic damage assessment, and holds active certifications in Xactimate estimation systems, Top of the Roof criteria, and Owens Corning Preferred In-Home Selling. His continuous integration of emerging technologies ensures ARAC remains a trusted resource for complex insurance restoration and large-scale multi-market deployments across the Southeast and Midwest.
Beyond operational excellence, John is a recognized pioneer in corporate philanthropy. He was honored with the prestigious Owens Corning National Spirit Award, an elite recognition given to only one roofing company in the country each year, and as well as the Owens Corning National Community Award, celebrating contractors who seamlessly extend their business success into community care. Through the Roof It Forward initiative, John has structured a sustainable giving model that aligns corporate success with community impact, delivering significant financial contributions to local children's healthcare systems and pediatric cancer organizations. Guided by his faith and commitment to family, John continues to pioneer initiatives that elevate professional accountability across the industry. When not leading strategy, he enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and supporting his family's activities.
